Update

v1.3 is here: reminders are reliable again

A small but very annoying edge case is fixed. If you were being extra responsible and marked a dose early, RemMedy could end up going strangely quiet the next day. It does not do that anymore.

Some bugs are dramatic. Others look harmless at first and then become much more annoying in daily life. This one definitely belonged to the second group.

In some cases, you could take a medication before its actually scheduled time, mark it as done, and RemMedy would come to exactly the wrong conclusion: “Alright, I guess we do not need to say anything tomorrow then.”

The result was not great: the next day, you could end up with no reminders at all. Not on the phone, not on Wear OS. Exactly the kind of issue that is confusing, because at first it just feels like sudden silence for no obvious reason.

What v1.3 fixes

RemMedy now continues scheduling the next reminders properly, even if you confirm a dose before its original scheduled time. Being early now counts as a good habit again, not as an invitation for the reminder system to take the rest of the day off.

Who this matters for

Especially for people who do not take medication at machine precision in real life. Sometimes five, ten, or twenty minutes earlier simply fits better, and an app like this needs to be robust enough to handle exactly that.

If this bug irritated you: completely fair. These are the most annoying kinds of issues, because they do not look dramatic, but they chip away at trust. In v1.3, that edge case is fixed.

Short version

If you marked a dose early, RemMedy could get confused. Now it does not. v1.3 makes sure reminders for the next day are scheduled normally again and show up exactly when they should.
